It is so cold and windy outside. I thought NC had decided not to have a winter. I really hope this stops soon.
We finally got around to making our Valentine bags, well they turned into pouches because I forgot to get bags. They are cute though! They turned out so cute!
I loved their creativity! I gave them the outline, the eyes and the teeth. They came up with the rest. You can download the printables for those 3 things here for free. Nothing fancy, shcmancy. Whipped it up real quick the night before.
On a more educational note, our Measuring Length Projects were due on Friday! I have been so slack about doing projects this year, although they are one of my favorite things to do! I had all but one student turn them in (and almost everybody followed directions!)
Here are some of the projects!
Here were most of the projects out in the hall (Some had fallen down and I forgot to hang them back up before the picture!)
This little girl put all her info in excel and made a chart. Loved it! She is OBSESSED with Bethany Hamilton (you know the surfer who lost her arm to a shark), she has a life sized poster of her and included her in her project. It made me laugh.
I loved the Phineas and Ferb cartoons! He said he just had to include the bird in the corner.
These little people were so cute. She glued them on rulers and attached them with velcro.
My kiddos loved doing the project, we were the talk of the third grade! The rest of the teachers decided that they wanted to do the project too, (even though I gave them the info before I assigned my project...ahem). Oh and you can download the directions for the project, rubric and recording sheet if you haven't already at my TPT Store for free. :)
Well I am going to enjoy this lazy Saturday. What am I saying? I know I will end up blogging or creating some new things. I was about to type grading papers, but I know good and well that won't happen. :)
