Conferences, yeah buddy.

I am officially on Spring Break!  YAY!  I am celebrating the occassion by sitting in my PJ's and watching the Pauly D Project. Yeah, buddy!  Later today I am going to see American Reunion.  So excited!

Conferences were yesterday.  I hope it is not just me, but I am always incredibly exhausted at the end of conference day.  It's more draining than working with my kiddos all day. (Well the fact that I went to go see Titanic in 3D the night before probably didn't help. It was sooo worth it though. Love some Leo!)

All in all, conferences went well.  It's always hard telling parents things they don't want to hear, but I didn't have too much of that this time.  Third grade is just such a hard jump from second grade.

Our Spring Conferences are student led. I love seeing my kiddos share their learning with their parents.  I usually do some sort of form for the students to write what they are proud of, as well as their goals for the rest of the year.  It's nothing too fancy, but I left it in a word doc, instead of a PDF, so you can edit it to be specific to your class.  The font is Annoying Kettle by Kevin and Amanda. I also made a fun, bright sign in sheet for my parents.  I like using my clipart whenever possible!  Click on the picture to grab it too!

Well, I don't know how much I will be posting over the next week.  I am a little burnt out with all things school. I am at least taking Easter Weekend off.  No schoolwork for this home girl.  :)

Have a great Easter Weekend friends!

  1. These are so practical! I am not doing conferences right now, but I think I might have my students do this anyway and I'll just send them home with my comments!
